Allocation of Resources for Professional Training by Ana Rukavina Foundation – a Doctor Has Been Chosen

Dear friends, we would like to present you results from the second public competition for professional training at the Georgetown University in Washington, announced in June 2016.

Steering Committee of Ana Rukavina Foundation has decided that it will allocate the resources for professional training to the candidate Ana Zelić Kerep, a haematology resident from the Clinical Hospital Center Zagreb.

Foundation’s Steering Committee has selected dr. Zelić Kerep on the proposal of Academic Council composed of prof. dr. sc. Boris Labar, prof. dr. sc. Ivan Đikić, prof. Steven Živko Pavletić, prof. dr. sc. Srđan Verstovšek, and prof. Mirando Mrsić, Phd. (the president of the council).

Dr. Zelić Kerep has fulfilled all of the requirements and the opinion of the Foundation’s Academic Council is that she is a hardworking young woman who has reached a noteworthy level of expertise during her studies and residency, which is reflected in her grades and her published work.

Academic Council concludes that she is a young doctor committed to the profession who is looking forward to future challenges.

Because all of the above, we are glad that dr. Zelić Kerep is the one to get the chance for a 1-year professional training at a prestigious American university and come back to provide an even better health care to patients in Croatia, which is one of Foundation’s goals.

Since Georgetown University is one one of the biggest and most recognized institutions that studies tumors and is a center of excellence, we believe that this is a huge step to Foundation’s goal.

We congratulate dr. Zelić Kerep from the bottom of our heart!
