Two days ago, the wonderful Fišić family from Novi Travnik visited us. Their daughter, 17 year old Martina, who is fighting her own battle with acute leukemia, sent us this mail which we simply have to share with you:
>>4,553 Donors from Croatia Entered in the Worl Registry
Thanks to all of you who have joined the Registry of voluntary bone marrow and stem cells donors, given blood samples for tissue typing, and have financially contributed to the development of the Registry, today we have 4,553 tissue typed samples.
>>Thanks to Štarkelj Auto Salon
Today we were overflowing with emotions at Štarkelj Auto Salon as we returned the Renault Traffic which Mr. Štarkelj had lent us for the purpose of organizing actions to join the Registry. Without the donation of the van, in which we passed 44,303 km all around Croatia, it would have been difficult to successfully carry out 160 actions in some 90 locations. It has been extremely tough on us because we were reminded of all the wonderful people who helped to organize our actions and the lines of people who wished to join the first Croatian Registry of voluntary bone marrow and stem cell donors.
